Tara McKenna, Certified Advanced Esthetician & Medical Assistant

Tara McKenna, Medical Aesthetician, joined our practice in 2014, bringing with her over 10 years of experience in skin care. Tara received her Aesthetic license in 2004 from the Euro Institute of Skin Care in Portland, Oregon.

Prior to joining Deschutes Dermatology she worked as an Aesthetician and Surgical Technician for a plastic surgery practice for 7 years. During her 7 years there, Tara became experienced in performing different types of non-invasive medical treatments including: IPL treatments, Refirme, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, chemical peels, and medical grade skin care.

In addition to her medical-based cosmetic experience, Tara has also owned her own aesthetic business where she focused on more natural skin care remedies. Tara believes in the practice of a healthy lifestyle and its impact on the quality of skin. Her style is reflected in her commitment to continuity of care for her patients, as well as the efficacy of her personalized treatments and custom products. Tara is committed to continuing education and is always looking to advance her skill set. She is a member of the Aesthetics International Association and is continuously taking the initiative to educate herself on the latest advancements in skin care. With Tara’s diverse skill set, she is able to choose the most optimal treatment plan for her patients.
