What should I expect with my treatment?
You may experience temporary redness and swelling at the injection site which generally lasts no more than a few hours. You may also experience bruising at or around the treated area. Bruises happen infrequently, are generally quite small, and can be easily covered with makeup. You will notice the difference in the muscle’s ability to move before you see the actual lines in the skin soften and become less visible. The reduction of lines should be visible within the first few weeks.
Am I a good candidate for Botox?
Although Botox is safe, not everyone is a good candidate for the procedure. Women who are breastfeeding or pregnant shouldn’t receive Botox injections. People with neurological conditions should refrain from Botox as well. Botox isn’t the right injectable for every patient and every wrinkle.
